The Sanatorium “I Theomitor”, Agiassos, Mytilini island, Greece. The psychiatric hospitals on the island of Leros and outside Athens send their “ difficult cases ” to the Sanatorium. In 1984 Following revelations of appauling living conditions in the Leros psychiatric hospital and the “ cleaning up ” that ensued, Leros sent 30 of it’s patients to the Agiassos Sanatorium.
